Ingredients
- Red Velvet Cake:
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
2 eggs
2 tbsp cocoa powder
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup buttermilk
1 tsp red food coloring
- Cheesecake Layer:
16 oz cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
- Topping:
1 cup strawberries
1/4 cup strawberry sauce
Instructions
Red Velvet Cake:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Mix butter and sugar until light.
- Add eggs, cocoa, and vanilla, then blend in buttermilk and food coloring.
- Pour into a springform pan and bake for 20-25 minutes. Let cool.
Cheesecake Layer:
- In another bowl, beat cream cheese, sugar, eggs, and vanilla until smooth.
- Pour over the cooled red velvet cake and bake at 325°F (160°C) for 45-50 minutes.
- Let cool, then chill in the fridge for 2 hours.
Assemble:
- Top the cheesecake with fresh strawberries and drizzle with strawberry sauce. Slice and serve chilled.
