  • Author: Sophia

Ingredients

Scale

Ingredients

Proteins

  • 1 lb hamburger meat
  • 1 lb ground pork sausage
  • 1012 shrimp, peeled and deveined

Base & Flavor

  • 4 cups cooked rice
  • 2 cups chicken broth (use Better Than Bouillon for richness)
  • 1½ cups chopped onions and bell peppers (any color mix)
  • 3 tbsp vegetable oil, divided
  • 1 tsp seafood seasoning (like Old Bay or Cajun blend)

Instructions

Step-by-Step Instructions Step 1: Brown the Meats

In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil over medium heat.
Add the hamburger meat and pork sausage, breaking them apart as they cook.
Brown until fully cooked and slightly crispy. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

Step 2: Sauté the Vegetables

In the same skillet, add the remaining 2 tablespoons of oil.
Add the chopped onions and bell peppers and sauté until tender and fragrant, about 5 minutes.

Step 3: Build the Base

Stir in the cooked rice, chicken broth, and seafood seasoning. Mix well to coat every grain of rice with flavor.

Step 4: Add the Shrimp & Meats

Return the cooked meats to the skillet and toss in the shrimp.
Cook, stirring occasionally, until the shrimp turn pink and are fully cooked, about 3–4 minutes.

Step 5: Serve Hot

Fluff everything together, ensuring the flavors are evenly distributed. Serve warm, garnished with fresh herbs or a squeeze of lemon if desired.
