Ingredients

Brownie Layer

  • 1 batch fudgy brownies, homemade or store-bought, cooled and cut into bite-sized pieces

Cheesecake Filling

  • 225 g cream cheese, softened
  • 60 g powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 240 ml heavy whipping cream, whipped to soft peaks

Caramel Layer

  • 240 ml caramel sauce

Optional Toppings

  • 60 g chocolate shavings or chocolate chunks
  • Whipped cream, for serving

Instructions

Prepare the Brownies

  • Bake the brownies according to your favorite recipe or use store-bought brownies. Allow them to cool completely, then cut into bite-sized cubes.

Make the Cheesecake Filling

  • In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
  • In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form. Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture until light and fluffy.

Assemble the Trifle

  • Spread a layer of brownie cubes across the bottom of a trifle dish or serving bowl.
  • Top with a generous layer of the cheesecake filling, then drizzle with caramel sauce.
  • Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with a layer of cheesecake filling.

Decorate

  • Drizzle additional caramel sauce over the top.
  • Sprinkle with chocolate shavings or chocolate chunks, if desired.
  • For an extra indulgent finish, add swirls of whipped cream.

Chill

  • Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving to allow the layers to set and the flavors to meld together.

Notes

For a richer flavor, use homemade brownies with dark chocolate. If you prefer a thicker caramel, dulce de leche works beautifully. Swap powdered sugar for maple syrup or honey for a slightly different sweetness profile.
