Ingredients

For the Crust

  • 1 1/2 cups Graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/3 cup Sugar
  • 6 tbsp Unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 pinch Salt

For the Chocolate Filling

  • 1 1/2 cups Semisweet chocolate chips, melted and slightly cooled
  • 8 oz Cream cheese, softened to room temperature
  • 1/2 cup Granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups Heavy whipping cream (cold)

For the Topping

  • 1 cup Heavy whipping cream (for the whipped peaks)
  • 2 tbsp Powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup Chocolate ganache or fudge sauce (for drizzling)
  • Chocolate shavings or chocolate chips (for garnish)

Instructions

Prepare the Crust

  • In a medium bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and melted butter until the mixture resembles wet sand.
  • Firmly press the mixture into the bottom and up the sides of a 9-inch pie dish.
  • Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 8–10 minutes. Allow it to cool completely before filling.

Make the Chocolate Filling

  • In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and granulated sugar until smooth and creamy.
  • Gently stir in the melted chocolate and vanilla extract until fully incorporated.
  • In a separate chilled bowl, whip 1 1/2 cups of heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
  • Carefully fold the whipped cream into the chocolate mixture until no white streaks remain.
  • Pour the filling into the cooled crust and smooth the top with a spatula.
  • Refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or ideally overnight, to set.

Add the Toppings

  • Just before serving, whip the remaining 1 cup of heavy cream with powdered sugar until stiff peaks form.
  • Using a piping bag or spoon, create large dollops of whipped cream in the center of the pie.
  • Warm the chocolate ganache or fudge sauce slightly until pourable but not too hot.
  • Drizzle generously over the whipped cream and the slice of pie.
  • Sprinkle with chocolate shavings or extra chocolate chips for an elegant finish.

Notes

For a gluten-free crust, use gluten-free graham crackers or crushed gluten-free cookies. If you prefer a darker chocolate flavor, swap semisweet chocolate chips for dark chocolate. To make it dairy-free, use coconut cream instead of heavy cream and a plant-based cream cheese alternative. For a nutty twist, add a layer of crushed pecans or almonds to the crust mixture.
