For a lighter version of this Oreo Nutella Cheesecake:
- Use reduced-fat cream cheese
- Substitute Greek yogurt for half the cream cheese
- Choose a sugar-free Nutella alternative
- Use whole wheat Oreos for extra fiber
Common Mistakes to Avoid:
1. Not chilling the crust before adding filling - this helps prevent a soggy bottom.
2. Overmixing the whipped cream - stop when stiff peaks form.
3. Using room temperature cream - cold cream whips better.
4. Skipping the overnight chill - the cheesecake needs time to set properly.
5. Cutting slices with a warm knife - chill the knife for cleaner cuts.
Storage Tips:
1. Refrigeration: Store covered in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
2. Freezing: Wrap tightly and freeze for up to 2 months. Thaw overnight in the refrigerator.
3. For best texture, let the cheesecake sit at room temperature for 10 minutes before serving.
